  1. What is the Motor Carrier Portal?

    Participants of the VIIM System, EZ Fleet, and EZ Reg systems will access these platforms through the Motor Carrier Portal. This portal enhances the security of your sensitive information by utilizing a two-factor authentication system called Okta Authentication.

  2. How is access requested for each of the programs?

    View each program's access information:

    Note: Notification will be sent upon approval or denial of the user registration request.

  1. How do I change Okta user profile information? 

    Each program provides the ability to update user profile information.

  1. What do I do if I forget my password or cannot access the system? 

    Upon accessing the Motor Carrier Portal login screen, each user will be prompted to enter their Okta Authentication credentials. If a password reset is needed, select the “Forgot Password” option on the Okta login screen.

  2. How long is my temporary password valid? 

    The temporary link provided by Okta expires seven days from the date it is received.

  3. Will I be required to have multiple factors to help with authentication? 

    Okta authentication requires multiple factors of authentication to ensure access is secure. 

  4. What happens if I become locked out of the Motor Carrier Portal due to my Okta credentials?

    Upon accessing the Motor Carrier Portal login screen, each user will be prompted to enter their Okta Authentication credentials. If a password reset is needed, select the “Unlock Account” option on the Okta login screen.

  5. Does Okta offer any additional help?

    Access Okta “Help” from the Okta login screen.

  6. Are companies required to notify DMV when user access is no longer required? 

    Companies must notify DMV within five days through each applicable program when a user's access should be disabled.

  7. How is user access removed?

    To remove a user, each program will have the ability to manage and remove access directly within the system.
