The official Virginia Mobile ID Verifier App is free with no sign-up required. Download on an unlimited number of devices. You may also choose from other solutions, including both paid and free options.

Note: Visual inspection of a Mobile ID does not meet legal verification requirements. Mobile IDs must be verified through an approved system. All apps listed above support tap-to-verify through digital wallets and QR code scanning.

2. Let us know you're ready to accept Mobile ID.

Email VAmobileID@dmv.virginia.gov to:

  • Confirm acceptance of Mobile ID: Include your business name and contact information.
  • Request partner materials (optional): We offer free training materials, window clings, flyers and coasters you can use to advertise that you accept Mobile ID. Materials available while supplies last.
  • Get featured: We'll feature your business on our Mobile ID Participating Locations page and provide additional support materials.

That's it! Once your staff is trained and you've confirmed your acceptance by email, no further action is needed.
