RICHMOND – The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will host a REAL ID appointment-only event this Saturday, April 5, 2025, to assist customers ahead of the upcoming the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) enforcement deadline. This special event offers dedicated, convenient service for Hampton Roads-area customers seeking to obtain a REAL ID.
While REAL ID is a choice for Virginians, beginning May 7, 2025, individuals traveling domestically by air or entering certain federal facilities will need a REAL ID or another federally accepted document.
