60th DMV Select Office to Open in Richmond

Customers Can Conduct Vehicle-Related Transactions Starting December 19

December 12, 2022

RICHMOND - The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is opening its 60th DMV Select location in partnership with AAA Scott's Addition in the City of Richmond on December 19. The new DMV Select will be located at 929 Myers Street.

DMV contracts with local governments and private entities to offer customers mostly vehicle-related transactions at DMV Selects. Transactions that can be conducted at DMV Selects include vehicle titles and registrations, license plates and decals, disabled parking placards, transcripts, voter registration applications and more.

The new AAA Scott's Addition DMV Select office will be open for walk-in service Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will support nearby customer service centers.

"Achieving this milestone is the result of a lot of hard work, diligence, and a keen focus on providing superior service to Virginians," said Acting DMV Commissioner Linda Ford. "Customers love the convenience of DMV Select and we are thrilled to offer Virginians even more options for interacting with DMV."

AAA Mid-Atlantic Distribution and Automotive Solutions Executive Vice President Lynn Miller says AAA values its growing partnership with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.

"We are happy to offer these vital vehicle-related services to our members and the general public at a convenient location that offers Saturday hours as well as auto repair and travel-related services," Miller said.
