Schedule Set as Superload Moves Continue in Brunswick County
Traffic Impact Expected Intermittently through November

RICHMOND - Residents in Brunswick and Greensville Counties and the City of Emporia could continue to experience traffic delays throughout November as very large pieces of equipment are transported to the construction site of the new Dominion Virginia Power Station in Brunswick County

These moves are occurring intermittently on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights.

Moves are determined by a number of factors including weather, resources, etc.

Equipment is being moved approximately 17 miles from Toll Brother's Rail Yard located at 750 Industrial Parkway, Emporia, 23847 in Greensville County to the construction site of the Dominion power plant in Brunswick.

Routes 58 in Brunswick County, Greensville County and the City of Emporia as well as Route 301 and Interstate 95 in Greensville County and the City of Emporia will be affected.

During larger moves, the ramp from I-95 north to Route 301 (Exit 12) and the ramps from I-95 north and south to Highway 58 (Exit 11 A and B) may be closed, which could cause delays along I-95.

Whenever possible, these moves will take place overnight to minimize traffic impact.

Signs have been placed along the affected routes to notify travelers of potential delays.
