Maximum Routine Weight Limit Chart
|
|
If any individual axle, axle group or gross weight exceeds the charted routine weight
allowance, the vehicle configuration would be considered Super Load based on weight
and may undergo additional analysis which may include a VDOT Structure and Bridge
Engineering review.
|
|
To find your routine gross weight allowance:
|
- Measure "L" - the distance from the center of the first axle to the center of the
last axle.
- Count the number of axles within "L" (including the first and last axle).
- Using the chart below, find where "L" and the number of axles meet. This is the
routine gross weight allowance. (To find your routine axle group weight allowance,
"L" is the distance from the center of the first axle to the center of the last axle
in the group.)
