Redskins Training Camp Traffic Will Impact DMV Customers
No Road Tests at Richmond Central Office; Closed August 2
RICHMOND - With an increased volume of vehicle and pedestrian traffic along Broad Street, DMV Drive, and Leigh Street during the Redskins training camp season, DMV is making plans to ensure the safety of its customers in late July through mid-August.
During the training camp, no road tests will be offered at the Richmond Central DMV office located at 2300 West Broad Street. Other nearby DMV customer service centers (CSCs) will be ready to handle increased capacity for road tests should customers wish to go to another DMV office.
There will be no motorcycle testing at the Richmond Central office during training camp. Located directly across from the training camp entrance, the motorcycle training course will be used as a handicapped parking lot for camp visitors.
The Broad Street DMV office will be closed on Saturday, August 2, 2014. The Redskins camp is hosting fan appreciation day, and is expecting tens of thousands of people to attend. Customers are encouraged to visit www.dmvNOW.com for their DMV business, or nearby offices which will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Visitors to training camp should note that DMV's parking lots are for DMV customers and employees only. Non-DMV customers will be asked to move or towed.
