DMV Select Services Coming to New Kent County
Conduct Vehicle Transactions in Commissioner's Office Starting June 23
RICHMOND - On June 23, a pilot DMV Select will open in the New Kent County Administration Building. DMV is partnering with the Commissioner of the Revenue to allow customers to conduct vehicle-related transactions without having to leave the county. The New Kent DMV Select will serve as a pilot program for one year to determine if there is need for a permanent service.
"This partnership is designed for New Kent County residents to get many DMV services closer to home," said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. "Utilizing the New Kent DMV Select will save customers a trip to Williamsburg or Richmond to conduct their vehicle-related business."
DMV contracts with private citizens and local governments to conduct vehicle-related transactions at DMV Selects. Transactions that can be conducted at DMV Selects include vehicle titles and registrations, license plates, permits, disabled parking placards, transcripts, voter registration applications, and more.
DMV currently has 56 DMV Select partners throughout the state. The New Kent DMV Select will be the 57th partner.
"My staff and I are excited about this partnership with DMV and are looking forward to providing quality DMV services to New Kent citizens," said Commissioner of the Revenue Laura M. Ecimovic. "I encourage citizens to take advantage of this convenient new service right here in our county."
Hours of the New Kent DMV Select will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
